Our Product
Safety Fiber all-natural engineered wood fiber, made from virgin ground softwoods, makes a beautiful and economical playground surfacing solution. Our chips are high-impact absorbing and pack down into a firm surface creating a slip resistant area. Safety Fiber installed at a compacted depth of 12 inches will absorb a 12-foot fall. These elements make the product extremely safe for all ages. This product is IPEMA certified to ASTM F1292, ASTM F2075 and ASTM F1951-14 standards.
The Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI®) is a North American forest certification standards program. Durgin and Crowell is a proud partner of this program making all of our products SFI® certified. Following the standards of SFI® adds value to our products, but most importantly we believe in the merits of the program.
